Kay Franklin – After attending an intercession plunge at Patricia King Ministries in 2012, Kay went back home to Aurora, Colorado, packed up her belongings, and informed her family and friends that she was moving to Maricopa, AZ.
Kay has served as lead intercessor for Patricia King Ministries since 2016. Before coming to Maricopa, she had been an intercessor, Elder, Deacon, and choir member in other congregations. She longs to share God in ways that bring joy to the hearts of others and creates hunger and thirst for Jesus. Kay loves to see lives blessed and changed!
Kay also has a beautiful adult daughter who works in the oil and gas industry.
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
Habakkuk 2:14 NKJV
Glory! Isn’t God’s glory awesome? There were times that I would misquote that verse in Habakkuk 2:14 to say, “The glory of the Lord will fill the earth as the waters cover the sea.” But to quote and to read that verse closely, we see that it is the knowledge of the glory of the Lord that will fill the earth.
We need knowledge of His glory more than ever. It is important that we know about the glory of the Lord because He is the KING OF GLORY, and because He is a wonderful Father, He wants us to experience His glory.
I love the times I have experienced the glory of God with other believers. His glory can manifest in different ways, such as healing glory, making it easy for many people to be healed. There is also His shekinah glory, His glory that dwells and abides with us. Sometimes it is even visible in the atmosphere (see Exodus 13:21–22; Exodus 40:34–35; 1 Kings 8:10-11).
We pray often, “Oh, God, I want to see your Glory!” Many of us are committed to praying every day. We want the glory of God in our lives so badly that we do not want anything to interfere with the time we have scheduled to be in His presence—time to pray, to step into Him so that we can encounter and experience Him. Sometimes we recall times that God showed up in unusual ways, and we pray “Do it again!” We are hungry, we are thirsty, and we are eager to experience God’s glory.
Matthew 7:7-8 promises that when we ask, it shall be given. When we seek, we shall find. And when we knock, it will be opened to us. We can stand on those promises and pray for the glory of God to manifest. We can pray according to Moses’ request to God in Exodus 33:18, “Then Moses said, ‘Now show me your glory’” (NIV). In the verses that follow, we see how God responded to that request and how He made it possible for Moses to see His glory—God told Moses that he could stand on the cleft of the rock and when He passed by, Moses would see the glory of the Lord (21-23). So, we know that God is open to us knowing about the glory and that He wants us to see His glory!
The other day, I was speaking with Patricia King, and she mentioned that she is going to be teaching the Web Church members on growing in the supernatural. She explained to me that we need to grow in the supernatural for what is coming in the days ahead.
I believe that growing in the supernatural means learning and knowing more about the glory—growing in the knowledge of His Glory.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 says,
Now the Lord is Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. (NIV)
The NKJV says we are, “being transformed into the same glory from glory just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” Wow, what a promise! Now is the time to be transformed and to go to the next level of glory!
As I contemplate going from one glory to another or seeing God’s manifested glory, I must take an inventory. Am I feeling any resistance or hindrance in prayer? What are some things that I can do to partner with God to experience more glory? This verse from Proverbs 19:11b is at least part of the answer to this question: “It is one’s glory to overlook an offense.”
We are living in a challenging world where it can be easy to be offended. Although it might be easy to take offense, it is to our GLORY to overlook an offense. It is to our advantage to be aware of the schemes of Satan, and when we ignore him or take authority, it will be to our glory. That is what I call victory! I am happy to be able to overlook an offense, because when I do, there is glory!
So now I pray that I will go from glory to glory! I will grow in the supernatural! I will not be hindered by taking offense or walking in unforgiveness. I will overcome all resistance to experiencing the glory of God. I will not allow anything to hold me down or hold me back from walking in the freedom that I have been given through the shed blood of Jesus Christ!
Romans 8:18 says, “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” There is so much more glory to be revealed in and through us as we continue to walk with God, pursue Him, and give up anything that keeps us from His presence.
We know that God has made His glory available to us. Ask, seek, knock—spend time in His presence; His glory will be noticeable! Glory will be seen on our faces—the glory we carry will change the atmosphere! Let us be intentional about filling this earth with the knowledge of His glory.
I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
