Keys to Access the Supernatural Life – Patricia King

Keys to Access the Supernatural Life – Patricia King

November 2026 Devotional · By Patricia King

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” — John 4:24

God is a spiritual, supernatural Being, and His Kingdom is spiritual and supernatural. Through Jesus Christ, we are invited into relationship with Him and empowered to live by His Spirit—a supernatural life that is not limited by natural restrictions. His people must not hold to a form of godliness that denies power, and they must never be mere pew warmers who sit as spectators rather than active participants in Christ’s commissioning.

His invitation for us to live supernaturally touches every part of life. We can know His presence in prayer, receive His divine wisdom when making decisions, express His love to someone in need, and trust His power when circumstances seem impossible. A supernatural life begins with knowing the One who gives us this life.

01Know Jesus

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by Me.” — John 14:6

God is supernatural, and Jesus Himself is the way into fellowship with the Father. Through His death and resurrection, He opened the door for us to receive salvation, draw near to God, and encounter His supernatural life—not just in our understanding but in our experience.

Jesus said, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture” (John 10:9). What a beautiful picture of welcome, access, provision, and care! Through Him, we enter a supernatural, divine life in which we are known, loved, and shepherded.

In Revelation 4:1–2, John saw a door opened in Heaven and heard the invitation, “Come up here.” Immediately, he was in the spirit and beheld a throne with One seated upon it. His experience reminds us that the Holy Spirit can reveal what our natural senses cannot perceive. It also directs our attention to the Supernatural One who reigns over all.

When earthly circumstances demand your attention, pause and turn your heart toward Jesus. Ask Him to help you understand your situation in the light of His Word, His supernatural power, and His glorious, eternal reign. Let fellowship with Him become your daily priority. Every spiritual pursuit finds its proper place when Jesus remains at the center.

02Know Who You Are in Him

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

When you receive Christ, you receive a new life and a new identity that is supernatural in nature.

You are in Christ, and Christ is in you.

First Corinthians 1:30 declares that Christ is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. Colossians 1:27 speaks of “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” You belong to Him, and His supernatural indwelling presence empowers you to grow, obey, and reflect His character and actions.

Consider this when you feel inadequate. You can ask for His wisdom. You can depend on His strength and divine intervention. You can trust Him to work through your faith, dependency, and willing obedience.

“Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” — 1 John 4:4

Spiritual opposition, though real, does not diminish the greatness of the Supernatural One who lives within you. Let this truth strengthen your confidence in His faithfulness and ability that can manifest great victories through you in situations that might look impossible. Often, a sure victory is only one supernatural manifestation away.

Jesus also promised that those who believe in Him would do His works (John 14:12). Most of His works recorded in the gospels were supernatural in nature. Approach that promise with a humble, willing heart. Pray for the sick. Encourage the weary. Cast out devils. Raise the dead. Share the gospel. Embrace Spirit-led spiritual encounters. Respond in faith when the Holy Spirit prompts you to action. Trust Jesus to reveal His love and power through you, giving Him the glory for what He does.

03Receive What He Has Provided

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” — Ephesians 1:3

Through His blood, Jesus established the new covenant and brought us into its promises and blessings. Your spiritual inheritance is rooted in your union with Him.

Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would take what belongs to Him and reveal it to His followers (John 16:15). He also prayed, “And the glory which You have given Me, I have given them…” Through Christ’s death on the cross, you have access to all that Christ is, has, and does. What He gives us draws us into fellowship with Him and equips us to express His heart and accomplish His assignments.

Second Peter 1:3 assures us that His divine power has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness. Through knowing Him and embracing His precious promises, we grow in a life that reflects His supernatural nature.

Ephesians 2:6 declares that God has raised us up together and seated us in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Let your position in Christ shape your perspective on the challenges before you. You face them as someone who belongs to the risen Lord, is led by His Spirit, and has access to His promises and supernatural power. You are not an earthly being trying to get into heaven. You are a heavenly being living in the earth—don’t forget who you are!

Most precious of all, through the blood Christ shed on the cross two thousand years ago, you have access to abide in God’s holy, manifest glory and presence.

“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.” — Hebrews 10:19

Draw near with a sincere heart and the full assurance of faith. Jesus has opened the way. You are welcome in the Father’s presence.

04Walk by Faith

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

Faith trusts God’s character and His Word. It enables us to respond to what we see and feel with confidence in what He has spoken, not necessarily in the circumstances around us.

Hebrews 11:1 describes faith as “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” We can trust the One who promised while we still wait to see its fulfillment.

How does this confidence grow?

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17

Make room to hear His Word–-especially portions of Scripture that reveal your supernatural life in Christ. Read them slowly. Meditate on their meaning. Allow His truth to shape your prayers and renew your thinking. Second Corinthians 1:20 assures us that God’s promises find their “Yes” and “Amen” in Christ.

Jesus taught us to pray with believing hearts:

“What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.” — Mark 11:24

Bring Him your desires and requests to live a supernatural life, trusting Him and focusing on His promises. Whatever you focus on, you empower. When you focus on who He is and who you are in Him as supernatural in nature, the supernatural realm will eventually manifest. Look for it. Expect it. Pray in agreement with His will. Let your confidence rest in Him as you entrust the outcome to His wisdom.

Faith also walks with patience. Hebrews 6:12 encourages us to follow those who “through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Continue in obedience and sweet focus while you wait. Keep your heart tender. Give thanks for His faithfulness, and trust Him with the timing and manner of fulfillment.

05Let Love Lead

“And now abide faith, hope, love these three; but the greatest of these is love.” — 1 Corinthians 13:13

Hope carries joyful expectation in God. Faith trusts Him and responds to His Word. Love gives direction and purpose to everything we do.

Let love for Jesus draw you into His presence. Let love for others motivate your prayers, your service, and your desire to see His supernatural power at work.

As you seek spiritual gifts and supernatural encounters, make love your greatest aim. Ask how you can reveal the kindness, compassion, power, and faithfulness of Jesus to the person before you.

Today, know Jesus. Remember who you are in Him. Receive what He has provided. Walk by faith, following the Holy Spirit in the natural moments of your day, and watch supernatural events manifest. Each moment offers an opportunity to trust Him, obey Him, and express Him and His supernatural Kingdom.

06Reflect and Respond

What would help me make fellowship with Jesus a greater priority today?

Where do I need to align my view of myself as a carrier of Christ’s supernatural Kingdom with God’s Word?

Which promise regarding the supernatural will I meditate on and bring into prayer?

What act of love or obedience is the Holy Spirit prompting me to take to manifest His supernatural presence?

07Prayer

Father, thank You for welcoming me into relationship with You through Jesus Christ. Help me to always keep You at the center of all I do.

Renew my understanding of who I am in Christ as a supernatural being. Thank You that I am a new creation and that Your Spirit dwells within me. Teach me to depend on Your wisdom, strength, and power.

Open my understanding to what You have provided through the new covenant. As I read Your Word, strengthen my faith and help me respond with obedience and patience as I pursue partnership with You in my journey into Your supernatural life.

Holy Spirit, guide me today. Help me see people and circumstances through the truth and supernatural reality of Scripture. Work through me to reveal the love of Jesus, and let love remain my greatest aim as I pursue You and Your glorious Kingdom.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

08Declaration of Faith

I belong to Jesus Christ. I am a new creation in Him, and Christ in me is the hope of glory. Through His blood, I draw near to the Father with confidence. His Word strengthens my faith, and His Spirit empowers my obedience. Today, I will walk by faith, remain steadfast in hope, and pursue love as a supernatural child of God.
