Spring Forth Blessings

We are in a special time of year when we take time to pray blessings and honor God for His goodness and provision. The following are some insights and prayers into this season as we launch into spring.

Recently, I was in my backyard, looking at one of my fruit trees, when the presence of the Lord suddenly came over me. I was a bit surprised, honestly, because I wasn’t pressing into His presence necessarily for anything. I had simply noticed some flowers and very small, pea-sized fruit, and began to thank God for His provision. In giving thanks and realizing God is our provider, I was also thinking about what we could make with the fruit from that tree. I was dreaming of the future fruit.

Later, as I was in a personal study, I realized that, according to the Hebrew calendar, we are in the month of “Nisan.” This is a significant month for the Jewish people, when prayers of thanks and blessings are offered for God’s creation and for the season to come. Meaning they are calling or decreeing the new future fruit. As I studied this further, I felt an immediate impression from the Holy Spirit to speak blessings over my life for all that God has done and for what He is going to do, and also over my garden to produce good and sizable fruit. Here is an example of one such prayer from the Jewish people. “Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has made nothing lacking in the world, and created in it goodly creatures and goodly trees to give mankind pleasure” (The word “goodly” means quite large in amount, size, or extent.)

Next, I want to share a couple of key takeaways from this experience and this prayer, as well as a reminder from the word of God and a decree of blessings over our lives.

  1. Increased Visitations with God: Friends, this month we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. What a perfect reminder that God wants to be with us. The bible reminds us of that in John 3:16-17, “For God so loves the world that He sent His only Son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it but to save it.” During this month of Nisan, we thank Him for the first fruit. Jesus was the first fruit of mankind that made it possible for us to have a relationship with God Almighty. I want to invite you to take time to read the gospels afresh. He died for our sins in order that we might have the gift of salvation and resurrection life. THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD!
  2. I am the vine, and you are the branches: Branches are made to hold the fruit; they get to reflect the blessings. John 15:5 says,  “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” I want to take a moment to encourage you in the word. As you read further into the text of John 15, you also see that Jesus says, “so that my joy may be in you.” It’s a joyful thing to see the fruit, and although we may get happy, the joy comes in knowing this fruit continues to appear season after season, time after time, and we are coming into the season of harvest. We can’t produce this divine joy given to us by Jesus, but we can receive it. This divine joy is abiding (John 15:10), complete (John 17:13), and a sign of His friendship (1 John 1:3-4).
  3. This season will be marked with vision for your future: Genesis 1:29, “Then God said, ‘Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.’” What is seed good for? Future fruit. God didn’t just give food; He gave us seed. Which means He didn’t just meet our need, He created a system for your future blessing, ongoing blessing, and continuous joy. We will see God’s faithfulness in every season of life. What you see right now may look small, like those pea-sized beginnings, but inside is a future that will manifest!

Prayer Decree:

We decree in Jesus’ name that we are thankful for every seed and provision You have placed in our lives. We bless what is growing and declare it will come into fullness. Jesus, we abide in You. You are faithful to do it. We receive Your joy that is abiding, complete, and unshaken. We decree into our future that fruit is coming, increase is here, there is joy in the harvest, and we lack nothing in You. Amen!

GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE

Power of the Decree – Book from Patricia King

The spiritual exercise of making decrees finds its precedent in both Old and New Testaments – the practice of simply quoting God’s promises back to Him, “reminding” Him of what He has said. This kind of prayer is one of the most vital forms of intercession. In fact, the practice of decreeing God’s Word not only builds our faith but transforms our lives.

Awaken Love – Mp3 teaching by Michelle Burkett

The greatest roar of love was from the Lamb on the cross. Love poured out and set our hearts on fire as we awakened to the pure and transforming power of God’s Love. Love shook the earth then, and it will shake the earth again as the Bride awakens and arises, releasing the sound of God’s heartbeat in the earth. It’s time for Love to awaken!

We at Patricia King Ministries thank you for your prayers, partnership, and financial support. May you be richly and abundantly blessed. And remember, God loves you with an everlasting love!
