2024 has been an interesting year, to say the least.
We have been in an Exodus 14 hour where we could clearly see what the enemy was pressing to do, but we also had a strong indication that the Lord was up to something in the midst of it all. There was a sense that if we pressed on, pressed in, trusted in the Lord, and played our part, we could see the enemy not only exposed, but expunged.
I believe that this is happening. I also believe that we are far from done.
To me, the 2024 presidential election in the United States of America gives us a fairly clear picture of this. Take the parties and the candidates out of the picture, and what this election really boiled down to was whether or not we were going to have leadership in our nation that was pro-God, pro-church, pro-life, and pro-Israel — or not.
The policies and platforms of the last four years allowed us to clearly see the enemy’s intentions to derail this nation. And for most of the church, enough was enough.
We prayed. We worshiped. We contended. Not for a candidate, but for our nation to once again be one nation under God. Indivisible from Him. With liberty and justice for all.
In other words, we stood in our place of authority as dominion stewards here on earth, and operated as gates of heaven to bring Jesus into the midst of our land once again.
All that effort was not about the outcome of an election nearly so much as it was about a shift in the direction of a nation. A return to righteousness.
Right after the election, the Lord spoke to me and asked, “Will this be a reprieve or a re-set?” And then He gave me the answer, “The church will decide.”
This is why, while I am grateful for the headway that’s been made on many fronts, I am convinced we are far from done.
This is not a time to relax.
This is not a time to sigh with relief and check out.
This is not a time to think the job is done and get up off our knees.
This is a time to realize that we’re making headway through prayer, intercession, fasting, worship, invading every sphere of influence with Kingdom wisdom and solutions … And to double down on all of it!
This is a time to realize that what has won us some battles will win us the wars.
I am so grateful for the shift that I feel in many areas and multiple spheres. But my desire is to see the fullness of victory.
That is what the Lord wants to lead us into. That is His promise to us. He makes that clear in 2 Corinthians 2:14.
Whether it be our nations. Or our marriages. Or our prodigals. Or our finances. Or our health. Or any of multiple other fronts. We have the victory in Christ Jesus. The question is whether or not we will continue to follow Him into the FULL manifestation of that triumph.
I believe we will. I believe you will. I believe we will continue to press in and press on. And I believe we will double down on what has gotten us this far.
Something else the Lord spoke to me recently was, “What began in ’23, and has been building in ’24, will come fully alive in ’25.”
I want you to grab hold of that promise as you continue to believe and pray and press on—that what you’ve been contending for this year will come into fullness in 2025!
With that in mind, I invite you to pray this with me:
Lord, thank You for all You’ve done and for all You are doing. I thank You for continuing to grace and encourage me to press in. Thank You for the shift that is happening, but I want more. I don’t want a reprieve, I want a full-on reset. In every area where I have been contending, help me press on. Thank You for what You’ve given me faith and vision for, and thank You that it will come fully alive in 2025. I look to You! I trust You! I praise You! And, Lord, I expect you! In Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN.
