This month, Francisco shares an encouraging word and some keys to help you gain supernatural intelligence to develop problem-solving abilities with heaven.
Have you ever been stuck in a situation and felt like it would take a miracle to get you out of it?
I believe that God uses these types of challenges in our lives as training seasons for our faith.
We have been given a gift of supernatural intelligence through the mind of Christ (see 1 Corinthians 2:16) and challenges like these are our opportunities to use that gift. I believe the body of Christ carries the answers to different problems because we choose to believe in God. He has been molding us and preparing us for the future.
I want to share a quick story with you and some keys to help you gain supernatural intelligence from heaven for your life and those around you.
A couple of years back, I took a short trip to Seattle with my wife. All of a sudden, there was a snowstorm. It wasn’t even winter, but the forecast was for heavy snowfall. This storm was a problem because I didn’t grow up in snowy areas. It can be very dangerous for someone with no experience driving in those types of conditions. That evening, my wife and I decided to go to a restaurant at a neighboring hotel for a meal. This hotel had a very dramatic entrance with a long downhill driveway. At this point, it had just begun to snow.
When we came out of the restaurant, the snow was everywhere and the car was stuck in the snow. I was able to get us in the car, start the car, and even begin to move, but then came the hill. My attempts to drive up that hill failed. Then the sinking feeling of being stuck with no help in sight was overwhelming. Plows were not coming any time soon.
I got back in the car and prayed, “I’m stuck, Lord. Help!”
Then, suddenly, I had a small vision of driving backward up that hill. So I put the car in reverse, and we went right up that hill with no problems at all. Wow, a total miracle at that moment! I was reminded that God cares about the challenges of our lives. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” “All” means ALL.
The Lord began to show me that this is how we develop problem-solving abilities with heaven. By asking, trusting, and obeying.
Here are some keys to help you gain supernatural intelligence.
- Ask the Lord:
Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” I love the promises of the bible. When we ask the Lord, He will reply. Some challenges are more significant than others, but no matter the situation, there is an answer. Another verse to take hold of is Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” In the story I shared earlier, I had the opportunity to believe God’s word – that He cares for me, that He has the answer, and that He wants me to know the answer. - Trust the Lord:
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Sometimes we do things according to logic and reason, which is okay. For example, logic and reason would say that I needed to wait for help in that snowstorm, even if it took several hours for help to come. But, because I asked the Lord and trusted Him, He gave me an answer outside of my usual logic. The result was that I was ultimately safe and on my way. The Lord didn’t put us in danger; He kept us safe. The Lord leads us to safety. - Obey the Lord:
When I think about obeying the Lord, I think about the Ten Commandments. In other words, show me the rules and I will abide by them. But we also see that obedience is an invitation to have faith that what He is sharing with us is actually to our benefit. Even to keep us safe and to help us succeed. Act 1:4 says that “Jesus instructed them, don’t leave Jerusalem, but wait here until you receive the gift I told you about, the gift the Father has promised.” This gift was the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps us in our times of need and also helps us to carry out what the Lord gives us. The Spirit of God is here for us now in all things. We can engage with Heaven for resources, answers, healing, and so much more, because we choose to obey the Lord and His instructions to us.
I want to share one last encouraging word with you. Romans 12:2 tells us to “not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” I believe that as we take hold of these keys and begin to use them, there is a healing that is coming to our minds from the Lord.
Over the past couple of years, the challenges have been very hard, and they can take a toll on us. But the Lord is asking us to stay in Him in this season. As we stay in Him, our minds will be transformed, and we will see the world and its challenges differently. We will see them as He sees them—opportunities to share and display the love and kindness of our heavenly Father to all.
